(A) Patient received pre-treatment of pravastatin (20 mg/day). Pre-PCI angiogram demonstrated a 90% stenosis in the mid right coronary artery. (B) Although post-PCI angiogram showed a good result without residual stenosis, side branch occlusion occurred. (C) IMR = Pd mean × mean transit time hyperemia. The patient exhibited post-PCI cardiac markers elevations (troponin I =1.25 ng/ml and creatine kinase-myocardial band = 33 U/l) due to side branch occlusion. However, angiogram did not show evidence of epicardial coronary flow disturbance and IMR value was low.
